For this assignment, you are expected to produce a creative media artifact or one that you could use to support student learning. The idea here is to learn how to integrate various tools of technology pedagogically into teaching and learning activities. The project can be any one of following or another form you think possible:
- Radio style podcasts
- PSA (Public Service Announcements)
- Educational videos detailing lessons (science, cooking etc.)
- Instructional YouTube videos (crafts, cooking etc.)
- Creative artistic videos pieces (dance, humor, abstract video art)
- An animation short or storyboard animatic.
- An informational/educational resource website
- An awesome recording of an original composition
- Ed talk (Interview style)
- Awareness campaign materials about animal cruelty, health hazard of using plastic bags, climate issues in forms such as Infographics, videos, and posters.
NOTE: The group is expected to hand in (one week before the start of the project) an abstract (maximum 200 words) of the proposed media project briefly outlining what the group will be doing. No group can use any image or picture without the consent of the involved in any form of the digital product except herself/himself. Each group will submit this project within a specified time limit which will be decided in class.
Each media production MUST include a written reflective response, based on a rubric that will be provided, indicating the technical aspects required, the critical aspects of how the media was developed, its potential applications in education and what you learned.
